Today's post shows a couple of units to reinforce the Dark Angels. The first is a Deathwing Venerable Dreadnought. This model was created from merging two second hand models and some Dark Angels bitz. The legs lack armour because I couldn't get the paint off those plates. However, when I put it together, I thought the lack of armour on the legs gave the model character. It probably seems a bit funny to have this huge armoured sarcophagus on top of unarmoured legs, but I like it. Maybe someone tore it off and the Dreadnought kept on fighting! The original Dark Angels dreadnought I created is going to become a Grey Knights dreadnought instead.
Below is a devastator squad led by Sergeant Mirla. This was cobbled together out of what bitz I had laying around, although Mirla's body was bought specially for this job. I could have made a fairly generic looking sergeant, but my other sergeants have robes or tabards, so I thought Mirla should be similar.
