I seem to picking up some momentum now, and after painting a few models, my skills are 'powering up'. This seems to happen after having a break. Hence this Exalted Sorceror is one of the better models I've painted recently. The blending on the armour and the cloak is particularly high quality, so go me! Enjoy the pics below of Sorceror Estorus:

Classic Berzerkers
This post shows off my recently completed squad of classic berzerkers. I managed to find a complete box (10 models) of the plastic berzerkers, all unpainted. It was a very lucky and bargain find! I then picked up the two metal ones to add to the squad, with one of those metal ones, with the power fist, becoming the squad champion, Threxos Hellbreed. Hellbreed is a well-known champion of The Hounds of Abaddon, mentioned in the 8th ed Chaos Space Marines Codex. Hellbreed is now leader of the Hounds of Abaddon, but since these are classic berzerkers, I'm going to say this is an earlier version of him, as he was working his way up the ranks.
It was really enjoyable to put these models together, and I tested my conversion skills by sawing and cutting the two-piece models to create some different poses. Painting them was also fun, and not too difficult - I probably said before that Black Legion models are very easy, with all the black and metallic colours.
I plan to paint up some more historical models in the future, now that I know I can get some nice results from them! Until next time...

Inquisitor Hector Rex
This
is my attempt at Inquisitor Hector Rex. I love painting cloaks, and so I
enjoyed painting Rex's lovely regal red cloak. I also think the armour
came out well. This is the first time I have tried blending with
metallic paints and it was easier than expected. I struggle to paint
skin, but I think his rather pale complexion looks fairly believable!

Soulgrinder!
Today, I finally finished my Tzeentch Soulgrinder. It's taken a while, but I finally made it. I'm pleased with the conversion, using one of the heads from Dorghar, carefully blended with the neck using green stuff. The paintjob is pretty neat and utilises my favourite blue!
