The Unknown in full

Today is a nice showcase of a full army. This is the Unkwnown. Lord Knar was a member of the Death Guard, but he felt their ambitions were too vainglorious and so he left the legion. He wandered off during a battle, slew the crew of a Thunderhawk and flew off in the craft to lead a more humble existence, sewing death and plague wherever he went. Where he goes, he turns humans into plague zombies, and they now inhabit his Thunderhawk and follow him into battle. He visits unknown and under-populated worlds, slowly walking through the streets, cutting apart local defence militias and waiting for them to reanimate as skulking abominations of the Plague God. He refuses to fight alongside other space marines, as he finds them too ambitious. He turns his back on them, fading into a cloud of mist and flies...

Big glowy sticks

Today's primary models are some Necron Triarch Praetorians. Check out those glowy weapons! I recently played a game against a friend, and I was using my Necrons. They got absolutely massacred in close combat, so my friend suggested getting an assault unit or two. I've always fancied a unit of Triarch Praetorians, so I heeded his advice and got some.

They came out pretty well, painted in the same colours as the rest of the army.

Additionally, here is a little retro Bloodletter. I am currently painting up the models for the Execution Force board game, and discovered you can add some lesser daemons to the game. I therefore acquired a Bloodletter, a Horror and a Plaguebearer, all in metal, to paint up. The Bloodletter was the first to be completed:

I'm back!

Hey readers,

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. The reason is that I got back into Magic: The Gathering and have been really focused on that, so have barely thought about miniatures, let alone painted any. This is a thing that just happens to me. I find it hard to focus on more than one hobby at a time, so sometimes I switch to another hobby for a period of time and others get neglected. It's not always pleasant to lose interest in something, and it pained me that I couldn't finish certain models.

However, I eventually got back into it, and this is the first fruit of my labours. This is a heavy weapons squad for the Wings of Vrayax. The lascannons are all conversions, five of the soldiers are Victoria Miniatures Arcadian Guard, and the guy with the grenade in his hand is from Wargames Atlantic. The transfers are all custom printed. Cat from Bad Squiddo Games!

Leviathan Dreadnought

Today's mini is a humble Leviathan Dreadnought. This is one of the Forge World ones, which I bought just before the plastic one came out...
